This fabulous piece of the history of Virginia City was built in 1864 and originated as the "fancy" furniture store....it is, after all, on the high end of town! When the gold boom began to subside, it became the home of the Ladies Reading Club which served as a great "front" for the town's only speakeasy that flourished in the back bar during Prohibition! Today we host small private events and wedding receptions in this intimate and inviting space!
Here in the true Wild West of Montana, we live in a beautiful blend of history and nature. Literally all around us are the sites, sounds and smells of the lost past which still lives here.
